Warm Must-Have Autumn and Winter Fashion Forecast – 2010-2011

By October 16, 2010

Shearling jackets

THE jacket to be seen in this season, shearling styles are already huge and if it’s good enough for Alexa Chung then we’re more than happy to embrace this toasty treat!

Poncho

The poncho can be a tricky look to carry off but if you’re a dedicated fashionista this item can provide a current, creative and cosy addition to your winter wardrobe.

Camel

If you prefer something more classic then a camel coat may be for you – and the caramel toned trend doesn’t end there; skirts and tailored trousers in complimentary hues ooze style while offering head to toe comfort.

Quilting

Quilting is no longer just for granny’s dressing gown, there are lots of options in this finish that offer warmth and a trendy look.

Chunky woolens

Layer up cable knit sweaters, woolen skirts and scarves for the ultimate winter outfit and finish the look with a beanie hat.

Turtlenecks

Turtlenecks need not be dowdy and they’re a great look for autumn/winter this year. To make them work for you try adding a funky necklace or going for one of this season’s rich reds, emerald greens or deep blue shades.

Long hemlines

Maxi dresses are a favorite with us and this long hemmed style has taken us right through the year and into the colder months, we couldn’t be more delighted! For casual day wear match your long flowing skirts and dresses with an over sized slouchy sweater or make the look more formal with a fitted knit.

Gorgeous Gloves

Gloves have taken on a quirky twist this year with the emergence of lace and fingerless designs. Though these may not be the most practical hand coverings they certainly make wearing gloves more fun.
